Matter 100 - Workshop: Getting Started with Matter in Simplicity Studio v5

This Matter workshop, originally presented at Embedded World 2023, provides hands-on training to get started with Matter development in Simplicity Studio v5.

Overview

This workshop series covers:

  1. Installation of Simplicity Studio and the Gecko SDK with Matter support
  2. Creating, compiling and flashing bootloader firmware
  3. Running demos and creating Matter example applications
  4. How to form and control Matter networks from the command line of a Raspberry Pi based OpenThread Border Router
  5. The theory behind the Matter examples

Prerequisites:

None

Hardware Required:

Raspberry Pi 4 (with ethernet connection to internet)

3 x EFR32MG24 Dev Kits (or other Matter-compatible boards)
