Works With 2020: How to Design a Touchless Temperature Monitor

Overview

One of the many challenges introduced during the Covid-19 pandemic is how to quickly and efficiently monitor returning employees for high body temperatures.  One way to accomplish this is to create a truly touchless temperature monitoring station that provides both visual and audible feedback and warnings if a temperature threshold is exceeded.  

This training provides a tutorial showing how to interface a TE thermopile sensor to a Silicon Labs Bluetooth development kit, and how to send the resulting temperature to an IOS device using Bluetooth services and characteristics, all using Simplicity Studio.
