About This Tech Talk

Matter 1.0 was released in October 2022 and has gained unprecedented market momentum. But what is the latest evolution with the specification, and how does the market adoption compare to other technologies?

The latest Matter specification - Matter 1.3 was lanuched by May, 2024. Matter 1.3 added new device types and enhanced support for low-power devices (intermittent connected devices), which will allow devices to sleep for longer periods of time.

This session will cover the newest Matter specification, market adoption, how this long interval time for sleepy devices will improve the battery life of Matter, and include a Q&A with the Connectivity Standard Alliance.
