8-bit MCU Longevity Commitment

Silicon Labs targets a minimum 10-year life cycle for all members of its 8-bit family of microcontrollers. The 8-bit MCU family is targeted toward applications and industry segments that require stable life cycles. The 8-bit family of MCUs has been designed using the widely-available Mixed-Signal CMOS process technology.

Silicon Labs provides a minimum longevity commitment for continued availability of all its 8-bit MCU product families until clearly defined dates as set out below. The longevity commitment includes the standard 8-bit MCU end-of-life notification policy (six months notice for placement of final orders for shipment within 12 months from the notice date). If it becomes necessary to transfer the production of a product to an alternate manufacturing facility or technology, Silicon Labs will notify customers using its standard PCN procedures.
