Getting Started with Simplicity Studio 6

Overview

Learn how to use the Bluetooth GATT Configurator in Simplicity Studio 6 to define and edit the profiles, services, and characteristics that form a Bluetooth Low Energy application.

In this tutorial, we use the Bluetooth Health Thermometer example project to explore how the GATT database is structured and how to modify it.

You’ll see how to:

  • Open and navigate the GATT Configurator in Simplicity Studio 6
  • Edit existing GATT database items such as services and characteristics
  • Add new standard or custom services, characteristics, and descriptors
  • Save changes and rebuild your application in Visual Studio Code
  • Verify updates using the Simplicity Connect mobile app

By the end, you’ll understand how to manage Bluetooth GATT databases, make configuration changes, and test them across Simplicity Studio 6 and Visual Studio Code.
