This series of videos shows how to get up and running with Simplicity Studio 6.
Overview
The Software Components system in Simplicity Studio 6 provides ready-to-use APIs and configurations that can accelerate your embedded development. In this video, we explore how these components simplify adding features such as Bluetooth services, peripheral drivers and more to your project.
Using the EFR32xG24 Dev Kit, we start by examining the Health Thermometer example and show how its Bluetooth service is included via a software component. You’ll see how configuration changes are made through the component interface and how the provided APIs simplify application code. We then add a new RGB LED component to the project, automatically configuring pins and timers and using its API to change LED colors based on measured temperature.
What you will learn:
- How to view and manage software components in a Simplicity Studio project
- How to configure a Bluetooth service through its component interface
- How to identify and use the APIs provided by a software component
- How to add a new RGB LED component and use its functions in application code
- How using components saves development time and simplifies configuration
Learn how to find, manage and configure software components, explore their dependencies and documentation, and see how they save time across your wireless and hardware projects in Simplicity Studio 6.
